As part of the Heritage Lottery Fund (ed) restoration works to Lightwoods House and Park, I have been commissioned by Sandwell Council to document the restoration works from before the commencement of works right through to the completion and subsequent occupation of the fully restored building, planned for October 2016.

My documenting of the project over the last two years involves a series of five visits to the park and house to take photographs from specific locations each time, so that the progress can be seen as you move from one picture to the next.

I recently completed my fourth visit to site, the third visit during the restoration phase, and found the building and park to be taking shape well.

The following pictures show the newly restored drinking fountain and also the Bandstand, fresh from a new coat of paint shining brightly in the sunshine.

My next visit to the project will be at the completion of the restoration work, around October time and will be able to see the building in all its restored glory.
